Okay.. maybe that was an exaggeration. Although last time I checked sitting and typing into the void of cyber space still counted as something, so maybe I am totally on key!
Either way, this is the effort I said I'd put into making this blog an actual... well, blog. Something that is used, and not just abused when I want to aimlessly yell into a dark pit.
However, things such as this need subject. And.. as you possibly could have guessed, I am short of subjects at the current time. So starting at the basics, I am currently shuffling through Fleetwood Mac and The Electric Light Orchestra, which I admit it a reasonably interesting mix, of which is the justification is Fleetwood Mac - because I promised a friend I'd make the effort listening to them more while he was away camping this week, and ELO because I heard on them on Doctor Who and thought they were quite snazzy. And also because theyve been on my never-ending list of "I must listen to that more some time...".
Which I guess brings me onto my next two subjects I could speak on; camping and Doctor Who. Two subject very rarely related, unless you are currently me. In fact.. even currently being me it is quite a vague relation..
Back on subject, I mention camping simply because why would anyone want to put themselves through that? I'll admit I love not getting a proper nights sleep, constantly getting bitten by insects and not eating real food for ages as much as the next person, but why take yourself away from such wonders as showering, electricity and sanity? Oh of course, because you want to be one with nature and fall asleep under the stars? Or want to holiday with your family and friends; or even both?! Two fair enough points.. but you cannot do this in cabins? Or even better, hotels in distant, culture-rich cities?
Although, all jokes aside, I would be willing to give camping perhaps one more chance while I'm still young enough to do something as stupid. I might even enjoy it, poetic star gazing and peaceful walks through the land seem very "me". But then again, I may not. And if I ever do risk camping, I no doubt will write about.
Now for the second subject! Doctor Who! Fabulous fabulous Doctor Who! With my brother I have been watching the latest series, and am just finishing season two at the moment, with (of course) the most brilliant David Tennant. It has been a most wonderful way to spend some of the holiday, since sometimes the outside world takes a little bit to much effort to face.
I, like most Dr Who fans, am still in denial of course that Tennant has left the series, but.. will admit the latest Doctor (Matt Smith) does look reasonably promising... but as I am still mourning the loss of Tennant I shall not say more than this.
And as for anything else, possibly real life related, I afraid there is not much. Since I am starting school next Tuesday and have to go in to possibly fact course-clashing doom this Friday, I'm trying to avoid life at all costs. I am happy to inform I have done a lot of nothing this holiday, thankfully recharged a little, and a little more ready to tackle the scarily busy year ahead of me.
So for now folks, I bid you goodnight, good morning and good afternoon :]
